Mules are a great way to add a level of sophistication to your outfit. Just because you’re aiming for a casual outfit, doesn’t mean you need to reach for your tennis shoes! Mules are a great transition shoe moving into spring/summer. In this post, Tanya will show you four different ways of styling them!
Dressy yet Chic
Tanya likes matching slate grey with bright spring colors! It creates a fun play on the colors featured in this dress. The grey dress has short sleeves, so this number is a great one to throw a cardigan on! This coral full sleeved cardigan is complimentary of the brighter coral pink in the floral design of the dress. To add some sophistication, Tanya paired it with the mule Epic. “The black in the shoe brings some sophistication, while the grey ties in the dress”, Tanya says. Epic is a great mule to dress up or down, and it comes in a variety of colors which changes the tone of how you wear them. Tanya finished this look off with a bit of bling by adding some silver leather earrings.
Comfy and Casual
This one is definitely the most casual out of all of our outfits featured today. Tanya put this outfit together to show that mules can be worn in a casual way. Billie can be worn throughout the summer, too! This graphic is paired with a basic KanCan with no distressing except the ankles. If you’re running late, are having a bad hair day, or just want to be uber casual, this is the go to outfit! This is another example of shoes elevating your outfit!
Rock n Roll Barbie
This is a “casual day out, but still want to show your fashion sense” outfit. Tanya took inspiration of the acid wash featured on this top. Acid wash is really making its comeback in recent years! This top is on the shorter side, so Tanya paired this fella with a high waisted 3 button KanCan. To accent the wash of the top, Tanya picked a gold detailed pair of sunnies! The mules Tanya picked, Elina, are a good neutral tone and color to pair with this fun top! These are more of a casual mule, but are a step above your typical sneaker.
This outfit is easily the favorite! Tanya threw this gorgeous outfit together in five minutes. Tanya always likes to look through our newest jewelry when she works, so she saw this necklace and kimono and knew they would look amazing together. She started with the popular rounded hem tank top, then added the kimono. The wood and gold necklace pairs perfectly with the bohemian vibe of the kimono. Tanya was inspired by the fun tassels on the kimono, and immediately thought of the double frayed KanCans. Can we talk about how well these mules look with this outfit? The tones from Sardinia match the tone of the necklace so perfectly! This is an incredibly versatile outfit, and is completely effortless. If you want to add a bit of structure to this outfit, tie the tank to the side!
